Pulling from his history and experience in bands, orchestras, and as a sideman for pop artists, Benjamin is acutely aware of the power of collaboration when creating scores for film and television.
Born and raised outside of Detroit, MI, Ben quickly amassed a vast array of musical experiences in his early years. From growing up in orchestras, jazz ensembles, musical theatre pit orchestras, and rock bands, including Blue Note Records / Capitol Records artist Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas, he quickly established himself as a known and respected entity within the Detroit music scene.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Benjamin quickly found himself touring the world with artists such as Selena Gomez, Noah Cyrus, Liz Phair, and others, including multiple TV performances on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and many more.
His recent work includes scoring the Netflix Original Documentary SEASPIRACY, which was the #1 film on Netflix in 31 countries, and hit the Top 10 in over 50 countries, Echoverse & Wondery’s THE LESSER DEAD, starring Minnie Driver & Jack Kilmer, Gunpowder & Sky’s SOMETIMES WHEN WE TOUCH, currently on Paramount+, and many upcoming projects releasing in 2024.
